
Tuesday May 27th 1856 saw the consecration of the church with the local newspaper reporting that they were 'blessed with very fine weather, the church was crowded and mine work was suspended so that miners could attend'
Set in the historic village of Laxey, and residing next to the Manx Electric Railway many visitors to the Isle of Man come to also visit the Laxey Wheel, Laxey Woollen Mills, Laxey Harbour and Beach and to take the trip on the Snaefell Mountain Railway.
