Tynwald Day is a reminder of the depth of our traditions and the rich history of our Parliament. As the UK votes in the next few days for its MPs, and as the debate becomes more heated, we should be proud of our democracy, particularly that our Island spearheaded votes for women in 1881, ahead of any other country. I wish you all a lovely Tynwald Day – enjoy the Bank Holiday and bask in the beauty of our Island.
